Laurentia’s founders developed the idea for a winery during trips together in Idaho. One brother’s work as a geologist shaped their interest in the Grand River Valley’s soils and growing conditions. The estate’s own story connects its site to glacial deposits and Lake Erie—the landscape in which its estate wines are grown.
