How We Chose These Stops

We folded the two fall routes into one day. The foliage stops are the two Grand River spots the park district and bridge records single out, and the wineries are the ones whose setting is the point in October: a vineyard-facing patio, a wood-burning fireplace, the valley's largest planting and a wooded riverbank. The whole day is about 12 miles of country roads, so there is time to linger.
